Polyamory Isn’t Cheating

The fact that this continually has to be said, even though a huge part of poly is being OPEN and HONEST, something inherently missing when you’re cheating. Anyway, this post points it out quite well, with a good dose of humor that, no sunshine, poly =/= cheating in the slightest.

Polyamory is – Polyamory (from Greekπολύpoly, “many, several”, and Latinamor, “love“) is the practice of, or desire for, intimate relationships involving more than two people, with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. It has been described as “consensual, ethical, and responsible non-monogamy” (resource https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyamory)

“Knowledge and consent of everyone involved.” This language does not represent cheating. In fact it does the opposite by being inclusive and open to your partners.

Cheating is-  Cheating is the getting of a reward for ability or finding an easy way out of an unpleasant situation by dishonest means. It is generally used for the breaking of rules to gain unfair advantage in a competitive situation. This broad definition…
