When Daddy gave birth to you

When the media flip their shit about transgender parents conceiving kids naturally, I think it’s funny… but it’s also really sad. People are so caught up in gender norms, that they don’t think for a single second that perhaps, just maybe, this isn’t some sort of novel fucking concept.

When R was pregnant with E, he wanted to hide it, and I sure don’t blame him… I don’t even want to know how many people would have reacted badly, possibly violently, but, the pregnancy was just every day for us. We had a baby. That happens sometimes when two certain parts meet up. It was an accident because of a gap in both our hormones, but, you know, it happens.

There are lots of trans men who have given birth, and there are definitely other couples out there where both partners are trans. I met a fellow blogger who is in that same sort of relationship somewhat recently, and she totally kicks ass *as we all do*.

There’s nothing amazing or mind blowing in this, it just irritates me, and also gives me a good laugh that people just can’t seem to wrap their minds around it.

It’s as if trans people suddenly have these magical vaginas and penises that do things that no one has ever seen before…

I kind of always thought that if you were both fertile, and one partner had a penis, and the other a vagina, and you had unprotected sex, it was a decent chance that sooner or later, you would make yourself a sex trophy / 9 month parasite. *shrugs* Just a thought.

have a beautiful day sunshines!

I laughed. It’s a good point you make- the human capacity for babymaking really isn’t a new thing.
